Made for GMTK game jam 2021, "Joined together".

First 3 levels are tutorials, 4th level is the actual game.

Summary
A tower defense, with the twist, that your towers need energy to fire, you can power up a tower, by directing the beam coming from your base at it.

Towers can power up other turrets, by shooting them, which can result in long links.
This is how the game adheres to the theme "Joined together".

Some cool things you can do

creating a loop will charge the first tower

shoot around the corner

power up different towers based on needs

How I see it
I think its a solid idea, but I did not have enough time to polish it...
It's quite broken at the moment.
Had a lot of fun thinking about the possibilities, had a lot of sorrow fixing my randomly corrupted project.

Would do it again. :)

Very funny concept! What I like is you can play very intuitively and make your system of mirrors grow naturally, or your could think about it very methodically. That concept definitely deserves to be developed into a more fleshed out game!

Very interesting mechanic! Definitely too easy right now, but with some expanding I think it could be really fun.

Thank you! :D
Yes, I think it's needing an incentive to create longer chains, cause right now you could play the game with only your base... xd

BUT, if you intentionally ignore that, it kind of works.

Yeah the way you can chain bases together is fantastic! Really interesting mechanic.

It is a bit easy right now. It would be harder if there were more than 1 independent path that needs defended.

I notice that the beam width isn't always the same and I don't know what controls it.

Thanks for playing! :)

Your towers can store some energy, if you create a loop between them.
The beam is wider if the tower has enough energy for a more powerful shot, the beams width correlates its strength.
It would make more sense, if there were more bases/energy souces.

it's quite unbalanced right now, I guess you could win just by using the base instead of the towers... xd

I think there is some potential within this idea, but it needs a lot more polish than this.
